A growing number of patients have new hope through NeXsmile

What is NeXsmile?

NeXsmile is a revolutionary 3-D solution for patients that are facing the loss of all of their teeth. Unlike removable dentures, which have only 15% of the biting force of real teeth, NeXsmile is solidly secured to dental implants. This provides patients the “real teeth” feel and function that they desire. While a denture causes an acceleration of bone loss, an implant supported NeXsmile will help preserve healthy bone, a youthful appearance, and allow you to chew the foods you enjoy. Because of the progressive nature of bone loss, there is a point where implants are no longer a viable option. For this reason, NeXsmile should be considered early as a treatment option

How do I Know if NeXsmile is for Me?

A simple questionnaire and brief consult will allow Dr. Slater to determine if NeXsmile is an option that would benefit you.
You will see photographs of completed treatments, have a chance to ask questions, and an approximate fee range will be discussed. For patients who want to proceed, an appointment will be made for Dr. Slater to perform a comprehensive examination. If NeXsmile is determined to be the best treatment choice in your case and you are interested in NeXsmile then the diagnostic phase will begin.

What is the Diagnostic Phase?

After determining your needs and expectations, getting started with your NeXsmile is easy. Dr. Slater will make models of your teeth, take a photo of your smiling face, record your selection for the color of your new teeth, and prescribe a 40 second CT scan of your jaws and teeth.

How is NeXsmile a 3-D Solution?

There are several things that makes NeXsmile so exciting. Using a CT Scan produces an exact 3-D computer model of your entire upper and lower jaws. This 3_D model allows us to find the ideal location for each implant, identify special concerns ahead of time, & enables us to quote an exact fee for treatment. A 'Virtual Surgery' has been done prior to your actual surgery maximizing predictability.

When will I know the Cost?

You will be given a Review of Findings appointment after Dr. Slater and the implant surgeon have met to finalize the plan. The fee will be presented with various payment options available. You will see the 3-D model of your jaws, the sites chosen for the supporting implants and a thorough consent form will be discussed. Any and all questions will be addressed.

When can I have my NeXsmile?

Two weeks are needed from the time your payment has been received in order to prepare for the first of the few appointments to get your beautiful NeXsmile.

While every case may be different, the sequence and predictability of each case is very similar. The most common scenario is that a patient has their teeth extracted, implants placed, and the replacement teeth placed on the same day.

In most cases, the lower teeth are fixed to the dental implants immediately and the upper teeth are fixed permanently after a healing period of 3 to 6 months. Most patients are surprised at how comfortable they are following the NeXsmile procedure.
